Colleen started her real estate career when she was 21 joining her mother Joyce Pickett who at the time was one of Oakville's high profile Realtor's. Two mentors figured in Colleen's path to success, her mother Joyce and Avril Lister who she worked under for RLM selling new homes for 3 years. Avril discovered Colleen had a talent for cleaning up sites ie: selling the left over homes and lots that no one else wanted. Avril commented that "Colleen could sell ice to an Eskimo"!
In 1988 Colleen began a long career with Re/Max and was consistently in the top 100 for Canada and Internationally as well. Landing in the top 3 Realtor's for Re/Max Canada 2 years in a row was a growing experience. This is where Colleen's marketing skills were honed and her negotiating skills excelled. The nineties were not an "order taking" market, Realtor's either figured it out or left the business. Over 90% of the business at that time was being done by 5% of the Realtor's. Colleen sold between 75-90 homes a year for 16 years straight.
Colleen now see's a shift in the way business is being done via the internet and made the decision to join the forward thinking and ground breaking Search Realty Brokerage Corp. The chance to expand the reach for her seller's and buyer's is what made the decision to move an easy one. Colleen prides herself on being there for her clients every step of the way and sharing her experience from right pricing and staging, home inspections and mortgage needs, to ensuring her purchaser's success when buying and how to win the deal every time.
For her seller's and buyer's Colleen has a list of proven professionals ready to help with everything from handyman work, painting, cleaning, packing, organizing, gardeners, stagers, home inspectors and lawyers.
She enjoys riding her horse Noah, gardening, cooking for friends and clients, reading and fine wines. To stay fit she rides, works out with weights, does cardio and yoga.
